Default Repair issues with Landlord of 40 years!
My mum has lived in her rented property for nearly 40 years. She has not got a copy of the tennacy agreement. My Dad died nearly 5 years ago and he was a plumber and did most of the work on the house.
Mum is now having problems with the landlord regarding repairs to the house for several items - Damp being the main problem, causing health issues.
Landlord was written to in May & December - nothing has been done. The doctor wrote threatening the environmental health - still nothing has been done.
I phoned landlady today and she wants to send a plasterer around - surely it needs a builder for a damp problem?
Can anyone advise please?

I'd get in contact with environmental health yourself they can inspect the property then issue an order to have the landlord make any repairs they deem necessary.
