Default Can i get a tenant easily ?

Hi

I am looking to buy a house in birmingham or coventry areas, All i need to know that is it easy to find a tenants in those areas and what areas are more demandable regarding renting purpose.

Basically i am living in london so do not know much about the birmingham areas.

I am buying there because houses are cheaper then london and i am definitely willing to move up there in 3 years time.

So is it worth to buy a house ?

Thanks.

There is always a demand for rented propertys in any area in any town, to price your house you might buy to rent, might i suggest you buy the property first then should you decide to rent it out, then go through a agency that will market the property on ur behalf and collect payments etc etc.. The process of buying to rent is quite easy hence why local people are priced out of the market by out of towners buying them up and renting out at unaffordable prices.....if your looking to make huge bucks from the rented propertys then i suggest you stick to the london area as you will be able to charge more for the rent, but would pay more for the property to buy first....

House prices are looking shaky. Even if they remain constant, the return you will get on your investment will probably be less than the interest you could get by sticking the cash in a savings account.

If you mean in financial terms, almost certainly not. Prices do not look like rising much in the next three years and could well fall. If I were you I would wait at least 6 months to see how things work out.
