Public transport (Trains, tubes and buses) Have you been let down by public transport? Tell us about it here. Go one better and put in a claim for some proper compensation. You don't have to accept their travel vouchers. You can do better than that.

Default New Train Route???

I regularly commute long distances by train and have discovered that a preferred train route of mine isn't available. 'Computer says No' - so websites, ticket offices, etc... can't sell me the ticket.

Does anyone know how I get a route added? Eg: added to a national database?

It's not so much that there's a database of routes, all valid routes are worked out according to the rules in the routing guide. So I don't think you'll have much luck asking for your preferred route to be included if it isn't currently a valid route. Good luck anyway though!

What route(s) is it anyway - purely for my own curiosity

There are currently some fares that are not in the national database which should be.
Depending on how popular your route is and how many tocs it goes through you might get ATOC to add it. But I seriously doubt it as most routes were set up in BR days.
