You may be able to get a £100 Refund, PC World have a price promise scheme but it is down to the store if they allow it or not. If you find a cheaper price within 7 days of buying the laptop they will refund the difference. So they should honour the £100 refund, or otherwise they may give you £100 Worth of store stock in exchange.

If you brought it on a credit agreement then you won't be able to receive the £100 to my knowledge but they should honour the £100 refund and allow you to exchange it for Items up to or over that value of £100 (if over you may ahve to pay difference). Seeing that its been now 8 days you may still be able to claim it but like i said before it will be down to the duty or manager on that day. Eavch store is different my local Pc World do it up to 7 Days they may do it up to 14 but there procedures is 7 days only.

Good Luck with it.

Legally the short answer is: No.

You will be entirely reliant on the goodwill of the store. Sorry.

I heard on the radio a retailer would offer the difference in price if something bought within 30 days was reduced in a sale....I cannot remember for the life of me who it was - i thought it was Amazon, but can't find anything there!

Just a thought

Should a shop write to you and ask for more money if the price goes up?

coming from an ex manager from the same goup, the only thing you could do is go back to the store (dont use the "i buy everything from here" line, it don't work, they can check) basically if it was my store i would probably agree to meet you half way. as people have said there is no legal entitlement, prices go up, and down. i suspect you didn't shop around at the time? if they can drop it £100 it was probably artificially high in the first place, and hrefore cheaper elsewhere....
