Re: Class Action: PC World - Anyone Up For It? Just an aside but very much on teh same thing, the Enterprise Act does allow TS / OFT to take action on civil matters, but there are two problems:
1. Size of company. due to politics, finances etc, it is unlikely tha the larger companies will be the subject of action taht is normally taken against the smaller ones.
2. Getting problems to teh attention of TS via Consumer Direct. Quite simply, not enough people, I reckon, are reporting matters to CD, even if it is just for information purposes. If everyone who had a legitimate problem that PC World refused to resolve actually reported it, there would be real evidence that would justify consideration by teh authorities.
However, back to the matter. I haven't had much problems with PC World becasue I hardly use them (and when I do, they are for some reason very willing to sort out any problems once a couple of things have been explained to them). But I hope others do join.
Good luck.
