Can anyone please help I'm so confused!!!

I have tried to claim back PPi insurance on a loan account on the grounds that I'm self employed and that the policy wasn't or still isn't suitable for me but the loan company has told me I'am covered. I was under the understanding that PPI policies were not suitable for self employed people am I wrong? Has anyone else experienced the same?

The only way would be by checking the terms and conditions yourself. Have you asked them to send you the t&c's or a copy of the policy so you can see for yourself?

some are,but I would double-check myself rather than take the word of the loan comp.

Thank you both.

I will check my policy again and try and make head a tail of it but they are not very easy to understand. Even if it does say self employed are covered which they have already stated I am what if I'm unable to work due to illness my business will still continue so if my business is still carring on why would the policy need to pay out. Also if I decided to close my business or my business fails would I be covered? Since I've been on this site I have seemed to have lost my trust the financial industry...
