In my opinion i was mis sold a ppi by Earth Mortgages/lifestyle finance These were the brokers for SPML.However Eart/Lifestyle are now in administration so no information can be obtained. The quetion is when i redeemed my mortgage with SPML the ppi was paid back to SPML not Earth. Does my claim now lie with SPML and Earth been the third party debtor who SPML would have to chase for the money?

Why in your opinion were you mis-sold? If you are not sure, you need to be. There is a list of 12-15 questions which will help you work out where you are - do a bit of rummaging around on a few of the PPI threads and be sure.

Forgive me, but who are SPML - are there any other threads on here for SPML? If so, take some time out and have a read - get to know the issues they (SPML) have and how they deal with their issues, and how others deal with SPML.

The PPI that was paid back - I assume that was a refund for the unexpired component of the policy? Your action (if needed) will be to get the rest back, plus interest.

Be patient, do your research, make notes, and plan carefully. PPI has been very poorly sold as a product for over a decade - it's time will come.
