Default PPi? Need more info

My fiancee has two loans with Lloyds tsb. One was for £1500 and the other for £1000. We just checked the accounts online and found that the first loan amount was actually £1825 and the second was £1145. Im assuming that the extra sums of £325 and £145 added to these loans were PPI.

He applied for both these loans online and was probably sent stuff in the post at the time but he didn't keep it and cant remember if the interest rates were more than the ones stated when he applied.

Now so far he has made 18 monthly payments on both these loans.
That equals £899.82 paid to the first loan but the balance is still at £1325.22! So from £900 paid only £500 has been paid off. This does not seem right to me.
Also, £891.70 has been paid to the second loan but the balance is £458.27.
I don't understand how a after paying £900 off a loan of £1825 leaves the balance at £1325.

Does anyone know what we should do next? We have the loan account numbers. We also have the address for Lloyds account services after ringing to cancel the PPI on his credit card. Is there a template anywhere for requests of information for loans? We need the T&C's, the total interest rates payable, the signed credit agreement and anything else of relevance.

I think he is being hugely ripped off.

Thanks. That does help. I think I might tweak it a bit to suit my circumstances but it provides a good template.

Hello,

In my experience even when you send them a full Subject Access Request asking for ALL information, you will not get it all. You will find that you have to keep on at them as they will only trickle the ppi info to you. They seem to think that if they state the cost for the ppi that is sufficent. I have only almost got to the bottom of how much it has cost me, £4,600 for the premium and the interest I was charged on this and that I have actually paid is £3,955, and they still have not told me the APR applied to the ppi premium. and this is after 3 or 4 letters. You have to keep at them and ask for written clarification of everything.
I would amend the template letter to your circumstances, but add that you want all information to the ppi policy, apr of interest to it., how long it ran for. who it is with etc. A TOTAL BREAKDOWN.

Good luck to you

Thanks for that. With it being Lloyds that I want the info from, I think I was expecting a battle to begin with! They are not the easiest company to get anything out of. Very infuriating
