Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 668	ppi added to loan but policy never existed-beware!!!!! hi-i took out a loan with welcome in sept 2004 and had ppi added to loan-£1295 inc interest. 2 months into the loan i asked for ppi to be cancelled and was told it would be cancelled but monthly payments would remain the same and loan term would be reduced a couple of months ago i asked for a settlement figure which seemed extremely high so asked for a statement-the ppi had been added on day 1 but there was no reduction after cancellation date-ah smelt a rat i phoned the office who deal with ppi-it was inactivated on the day the loan commenced so in effect it never existed!-i could have made a claim in that first 2 months or even later if i hadnt cancelled it to be told i had no policy. i spoke with welcome branch manager today who advised me that the premium should have been deducted.i've asked for refund of premium plus £400 charges.he said he will sort it when i've paid this months installment but i will need to sign another loan agreement!!?? should i send a prelim including cci from when ppi was added or just accept refund without having to fight for charges back- they sound too keen to sort it which makes me wonder if i could gain more out of this-i've paid £30per month in installments and they could be open to trouble if i take it higher __________________ lloyds S.A.R -sent 04/04/200 statements received 11/05/2007 prelim-14/05/2007 -£4987 lba-30/05/2007 n1-20/07/2007 Co-Op prelim sent-20/04/2007-£136.50 settled in full goldfish prelim-27/06/2007 capital one -deemed served -01/07/2007 settlement without cci offered 17/07/2007 halifax prelim-17/07/2007 aqua--prelim-13/07/2007 welcome-prelim-30/06/2007 lba-14/07/2007
