Exclamation Partners PPI - Can you help me?

Hi,
I have been recovering bank charges and have heard all the talk about PPI. I have taken a look at my partners loan that he had with Lloyds bank back in 2002 (it has now been paid off as it was referred to debt collectors).

He has his copy of the CCA and the "Optional Loan Protection Insurance loan" total was £746.58 (based on 3k) and then underneath it says monthly repayment is £18.40....now the loan was over 60 months so if you multiply this monthly figure by 60 it comes to £1104.00. Does this mean they have applied interest to the PPI? If it is, does this give me grounds to reclaim? doh...I realise it doesnt.

Now I have no idea if he was mis-sold this so not really sure what steps to take. Do I request a copy of their t&cs (or does anyone have a copy of them for March 2002) and see if he falls in to any of the categories?

There is also a box on the CCA which says "Premium advanced as part of loan", does anyone know what this means?

He used to be self employed but do you have to fill out an application form for the loan and if so, can I request a copy of it to check if he is down as self employed?

I think that is all the questions I have for now and I would be soooooooooo grateful from any help with this as Im way out of my depth with this.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

have you read this

PPI - Some Notes for Claimants

I feel the best thing to do is send a Subject Access Request to get all the information relatingto the loan. Have a look at it and decided whether you feel it was mis-sold. There has to be good reasons. ie. no ppi, no loan, ? self employed, but you need to see the terms and conditions for the 2002 period.

Does anybody have them to hand please.

I feel that PPI was heavily pushed on unsuspecting customers before 2005

Before 2005 these companies were a law to themselves, before the FSA started looking into their selling practices.

Carry on reading the different threads and get lots of information.

If you feel that you have a complaint Write to them with your complaint, using you amended copy of one of the letters in the threads. There is lots of them about.

If you complain to the company, be prepared for denials on their part. The bottom line is they will fight you hard to keep your money
Good luck and there is a ood chance if it was mis-sold you will get your refund.
