Can anyone be of help please

I requested loan and PPI agreements doing a CCA, received agreements and terms and conditions for loan but no terms and conditions for the PPi , was told by my local branch I had to call Ireland for copy terms and conditions, called Ireland they said they could not send as the account was no longer running or something similar. Can you do a Subject Access Request in Ireland ?or should I have received them in the CCA , a few years ago when my hubby became ill and of course could not keep up with one of the accounts , even though we were in regular contact with the business manager who knew of this but didn't even mention our PPI to us , we couldn't cope with the debt so called in a debt management service , (who were rubbish)they wrote to the bank and then they closed all of the accounts including both of our busines accounts .As you can guess we are not one of the millions of customers who are Happy with Barclays as said on tonights program whistleblowers.

Please pm me if you do not wish to post as any help appreciated

Hello and welcome.

Sorry abit confused.

1. Who was the loan with? Barclays Bank. If it was barclays they have to supply the information. You need to send a Subject Access Request request under the data protection act it costs (£10) to them, to receive all information relating to that loan. The CCA request is only for the credit agreements which you say they have sent you.

2. I feel that they are just trying to make things difficult to put you off your venture.

Stand firm on this if you feel that this ppi was mis-sold.

I too am claiming PPI back through Barclays which I believe has been mis sold as they knew I was self employed at the time. I have written to Ireland asking for a refund. I have the Policy cert for barclayloan protection If I can help let me know, but I would put a request in writing for the document.

Hi All
Today received a letter from Peter Townsend re Data Protection Act .

Please be advised that generic terms and conditions documents would not normally take the form of information that should be disclosed due to the data protection act, then goes onto say I should therefore contact branch level local office (which I already did )or indeed the original point of sale (which I already did)Wrote a letter of complaint to head office (they only sent copy of agreement again no PPi Terms. Phoned Ireland no help either as my agreement was in Novemeber 2002.
Can anyone help in who I contact next please .

Thanks M

Hi M,
I have received a letter from Barclays Insurance Dublin basically fobbing me off and advising me to go to the ombudsman. I have now drafted a letter back with Hellhasnofury's help. Barclays did however send me another copy of the Barclayloan Protection policy document which does not match the original on the front, the wording has changed. I can give you a copy if you wish. Perhaps you should contact Hellhasnofury as he appears to be very knowledgable!
My Agreement was taken out 31/01/2002
The contact at Dublin I have is
Evelyn Hogan, Consumer Affairs Team, Barclays Insurance Dublin, P.O Box 586, Shannon, Co Clare, Ireland.

It says on the Policy document to address complaints (on the policy)
to The Managing Director at the same address above.

Hope this Helps M and good luck!

Thanks last
Will write to Ireland, and pm hell, The date of the policy is important as these Terms are updated regularly and would need to see original to prove my point about being self employed etc, like yourself I am worried about being fobbed off to easily. Will of course keep you updated.

Thanks M
