Hello,

I am not happy with the £30 monthly charge that was placed on my account (now closed) for 35 months. Total £1050 in PPI insurance.

I asked for a copy of my application form and signed credit agreement.

The credit agreement is pretty standard and does not mention anything about PPI.

The application form is a 'read-only' screen shot of the application review screen completed online. There is a box labelled Payment Protection, and filled with the words 'Accident, Sickness, Unemployment and Life'. That is the only mention of the PPI. It does not state how much, it does not state level of cover, etc.

In the covering letter, the guy from Egg who sent me it, says

'If you go to the second page of the application you'll find that Card Payment Protection was selected at point of application'

I can't remember selecting or de-selecting anything for it. Certainly wouldn't have opted for it. I'm assuming it was placed on the account by default.

Can anyone advise please ???

I am also awaiting return from my Subject Access Request.


I already had statements which I am using for filing a separate claim regarding unlawful penalty charges.

Have sent another letter asking the woman who sent me my Credit Agreement, to include the PPI details, as it mentions none.

Still awaiting Subject Access Request reply.
