My initial claim for Egg charges update is they have offered me the full money as final offer and sent a letter for me to sign, which states i accept their offer as full and final
I want to reclaim the Egg Credit Card Protector Charges as well, so is it best to hold on and dont reply to Eggs offer to refund my normal bank charges and send a request for Egg Credit Card Protector Charges to be paid back to me, please help
I think i applied online for the Egg card a few years ago, i then cancelled the PPI about 1-2 years after having the card, shall i total up the charges and send a LBA? | Hello Tal,
Personally I would treat the ppi as a seperate claim. Accept the money for the penalty charges and get your money back. Then instigate your new complaint. |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Reclaiming - Egg Credit Card Protector Charges Hello hellhasnofury, I got my egg card in 2004, I signed up via the internet and i can't recall how i selected the PPI, if it was via the web site or via a phone with egg sales, i don't have any of the paperwork to hand, all i have is the 6years of statements
I think the salesperson from egg was pushy and made me take the PPI out, even though i didn't want to at that time, he was saying things like "take it out now, it will cover you.etc", "you can cancel after 30 days"...etc, i think to get sales commission
PPi ran for 2 years, then i cancelled as i found out it was cheaper with other companies, so i have about 2 years of ppi to claim back
Egg have offered me full fees on my bank charges, which i have yet to accept
Shall i just go ahead, total the PPI add 8% interest and send a template letter? |
