Default PPI yes car credit

Hi all

I think I may be able to claim for being mis sold PPI but it all seems very complicated. Can anyone recommend a company that will do all the donkey work for me. I have done my bank myself but this all looks too much for me.

Thanks
Lynne

Hello and Welcome to the ppi forum,

The process for reclaiming back your mis-sold ppi is exactly the same as the bank charges oh and yes they still deny it and you may have to issue court proceeding to get it back,

Can you tell us your reasons why you think it was mis-sold.

As Bigmac has suggested read around the stickies and threads for information. Why would you want to pay someone else you hard earned cash to do something you are very capable of doing yourself.

can I chip in here?,
I requested a refund for PPI from yes car, and they got really shirty with me, saying that I had signed all the documents which state" you were fully aware of the terms and conditions" etc. I sent off for an S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) and got a lot more info than I bargained for........ one in particular is a "DAFS PLAN QUALITY ASSURANCE CHECKLIST"
The date on this document is 7 days after I bought the car and states varied things to meet the criteria, i.e minimum age, max. age. etc then it comes to Employed and is marked with an X as we are self employed then it says minimum cash deposit 200. I only put a 100 pound deposit.
then it goes on to say "other conditions to be met and if they are, they will superceed any Xs in the first part"
1) Good existing DAFS customer............we were not a customer of DAFS
2) A1 payments upto date on mortgage..............yes
3)A1 outstanding finance payments? ................
4) Deposit of 600 or more..................... ...........No we paid 100
5)fine
6)fine
7) self employed-4 payments upfront as a deposit......no

Now this is where i'm a bit nervous, if I pursue this won't some judge somewhere say, "casbah you're a big girl now you should have checked this out properly before signing"?
