Default Four Lloyds loans with PPI

Hello,
I have been reading around this site trying to find out how to start to get four PPIs back.Three of them are for business loans and the terms and conditions state that they are valid for self employed people, so I won't be able to say that they have been missold for that reason. The fourth is a personal loan PPI(I haven't got the T&C's for that one). The business loans were taken out in March 2001,November 2002 and November 2004.The personal loan was taken out in December 2001.They are all paid off now but my husband, who took them all out, didn't want PPI but was told he had to have it or couldn't have the loans. Also, whenever one loan replaced another(or was refinanced as Lloyds put it), no refund of insurance was given.I would like to claim it all back on behalf of my husband but feel a bit unsure as I don't think I have a strong case for full refunds.Should I just start by writing to Lloyds and asking them for a copy of the terms and conditions of the personal loan? That one might not be valid for my self employed husband. The total PPI amounts to about £5800.
Any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Bella

Hi, I tried to send a private message to a couple of moderators as I haven't had any replies to my post, but it just said it couldn't find them. Perhaps I did something wrong. Could anyone please tell me how to send a private message to a mod or answer my initial post please?
Thanks in advance
Bella

Hello Bella,

The Mods will probably be very busy and can't always get back to you immediately.

Your first step would be to send of to lloyds a S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) to get all of the information from them regarding the loans.

Full S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) for ppi

This should give you information regarding the ppi amounts, the ppi interest charged and any evidence of refunds, when in theory they knock of the balance of the loans. If the loans were in your husbands name, he will have to sign the letters.

Make sure when he signs the letters that the signature is rather obvious to you, maybe put a line through it, just incase it pops up somewhere unexpectedly. Send it recorded delivery with the £10 fee and wait for it to come, They have 40days to comply.

This is going to be the start of a lengthly dispute between you and lloyds, because they will deny that it was mi-sold, and try to put you off, so you must be prepared to go that extra mile and be determined.

There is loads of useful information in the stickies and other caggers threads so have a good read around and if you are unsure, don't know, just ask
