Default at court in two weeks need help

i'm at court in two weeks but need some help on one thing

they have sent a signed witness statement in their bundle from the person who sold me the loan saying that they deny saying that the PPI was compulsary because their training tells them that it is not. this person no longer works for the company but i have previously asked for their training records which were not disclosed.

what can i put as a reply to this

i'm going for mis-sold because
1. not needed as adequate cover in place,
2. no documents received so didn't know how to cancel it
3. that i was told this policy was compulsary even though it states optional

I tried to claim with Loans .co.uk for saying it was compulsory. The problem I had was that apparently they go back through the tapes of the phone calls.

So i probably shouldnt use the They said it was compulsory unless you are 100% ceratin about that. It is probably safer to choose one of the other two

thats the thing though, i am certain that i was told that it was compulsary. but how or what can i say as it's their word against mine.

i've already asked for the employees training records to show if they are qualified to make an assessment of my needs but they would not disclose them and i've already provided evidence that cover was already in place but would like some more ammo

would it be wrong to approach this person who has given the witness statement by writing them an email or letter and ask them further questions. they don't work for the company any more but i might be able to find them. or would this be wrong. i just think that i should be able to ask their witness questions and see what replies they may have
