lloyds ppi on credit card

i am trying to get the ppi back on a lloyds bank credit card.
i had a letter yesterday saying that they would not repay me the insurance..79p per hundred..as if i had claimed during the time i was paying they would have accepted my claim!!
i doubt this very much as i am retired ...and have other insurance for medical and life....
i was pushed into this insurance the day i had to ring them to verify that i had received my card..so i have never signed for it....the guy was so insistent and i had other things on my mind that i agreed to a months trial!!.the letter i received had the date of this call and made it appear as if i had contacted them for insurance...sly eh?
but with no documentation.
Have a chance of getting my money back..
ive been paying this obsolete insurance..it doesnt cover me..since 2004

and by the way i have got back the ppi i have been paying on a loan with lloyds without much trouble..and they will payin full with goodwill interest..what does that mean
and how can i calculate the inteest on 3249k over 4 years..the loan wa 5 years and has a year to run.

I would first do a DSAR for full disclosure. This should also get you transaction details and the relevant interest rates that have applied over the years.

If you can show that you had alternative cover and never needed this insurance then that should be fine - and the fact that it did not cover you anyway from 2004 should prove that beyond all doubt.
