Question help needed with ppi reclaim

hi guys
wondered if anyone on this forum would be able to offer me any help or guidance with claiming mis sold ppi.
i took out 4 loans through a broker, ocean finance, all with ppi, after reading all the publicity regarding the mis selling of ppi and joining this fab site i decided i definatley had a case, the fos can only help with one of my claims as the others fall outside the dates which they can help. i have spoken to the fos over the phone and they believe it is ocean that is at fault, the fos currently have all the documentation for the one they are looking into and i am waiting to hear back from them.
for the other three i have oceans final response and it basically says get stuffed you're having nothing from us and take us to court if you want, as they believe they are not at fault although they sold it to me for a commission on behalf of the lenders they were dealing with.
what i need to know if possible is, is it ocean i should be taking to court or the lenders with whom i had the loans with, which by the way have all said that it is not their responsibilty either.
going to court frightens the living daylights out of me but if thats what it takes to get back nearly £11,000 then court here i come, just got to get my facts right first.
if anyone could offer me any help or guidance on this i would be very very greatful.
thanks for taking the time to read this

My understanding is that these issues fall under section 13 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, and section 2 of the Misrepresentation Act 1967. If this is the case, then section 14A of the Limitation Act 1980 would apply, and you would have to claim within three years of when you:

"first had both the knowledge required for bringing an action for damages in respect of the relevant damage and a right to bring such an action"

I would suggest that for many of us, this knowledge required for bringing an action for damages only came recently due to publicity given to this topic.

hi alanfromderby
thanks for your advice on my last question it has made for very good reading. you're a whizz.
didn't know if anyone knew that regarding all this ppi reclaiming did anyone know if we were meant to be sent a certificate of insurance once the ppi had been applied to our loans. this has probably already been asked and i have looked through all the threads and can't seem to see anything.
i have posted on the ppi forum also just incase anyone knew there just looking for another string in our bow for all of us that are pre 2005 with the fos.

No idea...but you should have been given a policy document at some point - probably at the time of signing.
