Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 46	PPI Failure with Lloyds Cost me my Home About 5 years ago, I took out a loan with Black Horse. At the time I was self employed (director of my own limited company) and I informed them of that and they told me I would be required to take out their highest level of insurance (gold) in order to obtain the loan and told me that gold insurance would cover me. 2 years later, with the downturn I found myself unable to make the repayments and informed them immediately so that the insurance could cover the repayments. They never wrote to me, but called me to say that the insurance didn't cover me because I was self employed. Then the harassment started with calls every hour of the day and night - one of them saying that they would take the vehicle that the loan was for. I said that would be fine and asked them to arrange to collect it. Instead, they took me to court and I tried to defended the case on my own (didn't know about this place then) on the grounds that had I not been mis-sold the insurance then I would not be in such a financial mess. The judge ruled against me and with their costs double the debt to just under 20,000. This led to a chain of events that ultimately ended in me losing my home - all because I was mis-sold PPI that 1) I didn't need, 2) wasn't covered by and 3) because it didn't cover me, financially ruined me. Any ideas how I should progress this? I now have a CCJ that I am paying back with timed payments.
