Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 11	redemption charges Hi, Just wondering where I stand on reclaiming these charges. Let me explain what Happened.We took out 5 year Fixed rate morgage with erc. We fell behind with payments on morgage. We recieved a letter from morgage company stating that we would now be on varible rate because we defaulted on payments.When we sold the house we still had to pay erc four and a half grand and it was only 86,000 morgage and we were 8 months short of 5 years. Can this be correct if they changed the terms of original morgage terms. Just thought i would ask, as they say if you don't ask you won't know.
