Hello there can anyone advice me please.
got a parking ticket in slough after over staying by just four minutes.
Was working in the building across the road from the car couldn't leave but could see the parking attendent stood by my car for 5/10 mins watching. as i came out he hurriedly issued the ticket then pressed print as he said to me " tough it's too late". he then stood in front of my car to prevent me from leaving so he could then issue the ticket.
in his haste he failed to sign it.

Does this mean it's not valid?

He knew it was my car as he'd seen me park.
The meter nearst was broken and the only other one was 2/3 mins walk.

Was this on the highway or in a car park?

I don't think that the lack of a signature is fatal to the PCN.

However, a PA is not authorised to stop traffic and you should perhaps appeal on the grounds that the PA was acting unlawfully.

This was on the highway. Parked on roadside in parking bay.
