Got A parking ticket in residents zone

Got A parking ticket in residents zone outside my house (ok I was on the yellow line) at 17.44 you can park after 6.30pm, last year I got one at 6.20!!, why do these people come round very late when they know people will be coming home from work?

This is from the Maidstone Borough Council who supposedly have contracted this out to a Canadian company (so I have been told)

Ticket has date of issue, contravention date, well looks like that me £30.00 down

just like medway, some places are no parking untill after 10pm traffic wardens seen issuing tickets at 9.58pm, its just a money making exercise
