Default 3 x Parking tickets

At the beginning of the year i managed to receive 3 x parking tickets in 5 days parked outside of my flat. 2 of these tickets were due to my residents permit eing out of date (by 1 day), so the very kind warden saw this ticketed me and then came back the next day and done me again.

Now i have read in my local paper and also on this site, that any parking tickets issued before the 4 August are actually not valid!

Is there anyway i can claim this money back for the council?

Any help will be appreciated.
