Default Parking Tickets Brighton invalid - but fair?

Parking Fines Declared Invalid (from The Argus)

Tickets Are Legal (from The Argus)

Brighton tickets... apparently they are invalid and so void?? but from July 2005 the information has been corrected? although the tickets I have seen are still incorrectly worded. I'm confused?

I have written to ask for my previous tickets ot be refunded but they simply say they will look into it

What is right?
1. Can we get tickets previously paid - refunded?
2. The tickets have been correct since July 05 but this is wrong?

Help advice needed

Default Re: Parking Tickets Brighton invalid - but fair?

Typical council "spokesman"

The law doesn't apply to them.........or so they think. The adjudicators never had the Barnet ruling to consider now they have. As for reopening old cases it's not upto them its upto the courts.

& if it doesn't apply to their tickets why are they not bothering with others bleeding plonkers.

Also they say they are going to chase some firm in the full knowledge that their tickets are unlawful. Great more tax payers money down the drain. Also they might get sued for thousands again to be paid out of tax payers money.

Would be nice to see these people charged with misfeance

Canute "hoping" to turn back the tide comes to mind
