'Consumer'. I agree with the mod: There is nothing particularly to apologise about. It was a misunderstanding that didn't involve you and no fault of yours.
I'm used to a site where we happily correct each other (including when I get it wrong!) without any animosity developing. That ensures people get the correct info.
Freaky has now given you the method of posting images. I recommend you use 'Tinypic' because you do not have to register. Although you say you have typed all of the pcnautolinker.com autolinking image detail - I have explained that this is only a very small part of it and we need the rest (there is a known error on the back that can contribute towards your appeal).
As green n mean has pretty much summed up the situation from the info we have - then pics of the location will be important - as I mentioned at the start.

'Pinkmoomin'. If I was abrupt with you then my sole intention is to make sure the OP gets the correct information - nothing more and it is nothing personal. I do not doubt your good intentions.

I believe there was yellow lines on the road, but not where my friend parked here are the pictures and will scan ticket too shortly! The car that got the fine was the silver.

Looking good so far.

How far does the blank area extend? Doesn't look like there have ever been yellows there.
Any signs at all?

Hi Consumerpower. You need to scan the tickets and post.

Unfortunately, we cannot read the detail on the tickets from a photograph to be able to determine the legality of the ticket.

Well not a chance of reading that pcnautolinker.com autolinking image ! Hardly flat and head on shot is it!

Looking at your likely timescale I suggest you go ahead and submit an informal challenge on the basis that 'no contravention occurred'. Don't go into detail - just simply say that there are no restrictions marked where the car was parked.
This will reveal their 'attitude' and what pics they are going to rely on.
On your own pic - hmmmmmm - tough decision - I'm unsure whether you should send it or hold it back? - Send just one I think - see what reaction you get.
Don't be surprised to be automatically rejected at this stage and for them to talk absolute rubbish - it's just how the game is played - standard.

The error on the PCN can wait until formal reps if you need to make them later.

Well, err, no offence but I don't think the basics of pinning flat and taking a photo from head on rather than a strange angle - are rocket science. On the actual camera settings - i'm a photo numpty so can't help.

In any case, I did say it is not immediately important now, The one flaw I know to be there is not worth using at informal stage IMO - later if you have to.

IMO proceed with the informal challenge to see how they react - they may even cancel immediately.
