Default Parking Ticket Question

Hello all my first time here hope you can help me with a question i have please.

i was issued a parking ticket which said i had stayed longet then 1 hour in a free bay in the town i live in, the ticket says the colour of my car is Bronze which it is not it is blue as shown in my log book.
Do i have grounds for an appeal??

do they have the reg number correct?
is this council or private warden?
if it was affixed with a ticket, then they will have photos.

and ofcourse did you park there more than one hour & were you aware of the limitations and notices?

Yes the reg is correct, the wardens are council approved agents i guess and they do have a photo of my car.
No i wasnt aware of the time limit as the signs are quite a distance from where i parked.

urm...not much really you can use to wriggle out of it then as far as i can see. TBH , if you live in the area i'm sure you have probably parked there before, this time you just got unlucky as there was a warden around.

i'll leave others to p'haps comment with anything further to help

Any idea how big signs have to be to be legal and how far apart they must be to be valid for parking bays ?
