Parking ticket not properly signed Hi there,
I was parked in a parking bay in the borough of Camden, paid for my ticket and placed this on my car window. I came back and was about 2 minutes over the alloted time so did stay over my alloted time.
There was a penalty notice/parking ticket issued by a traffic warden and this was placed on my window.
Upon closer inspection, in the spot where the parking attendent has to sign his name, there was just a totally straight line that at a 45% angle.
It looks nothing like a signature and as I said is literally a line about 2 inches long.
I wrote into Camden and explained that yes I was over my time limit but only by 2 minutes, but said that I felt this ticket was not legally issued because there was not a proper signature. I also sent in a copy of the ticket.
I just got a letter back that did not even address the signature, which was the whole point of my letter. They just said that there is no grace period and that I have not provided any grounds for dismissal.
I want to fight this, but I want to know legally do I have a chance of winning on this technicality?
Thanks in advance,
