Default Railway NCP PC - Obstruction/hindrance??

Hello all, At my first visit to this forum I am already admiring your tenacity and knowledge!

I've got a ticket from NCP in a railway car park. The ticked box is "Parked causing an obstruction or hindrance".

Okay, I wasn't in a marked bay, but I was parked in an area where people could get in/out etc. I've parked there several times before.

I parked at 10..00 am when the car park was chock-a-block. When I returned at about 2200, all the other cars had gobe - so I wonder if they all got out, who could I have been obstructing???

I've written them asking for evidence that the vehicle was causing an obstruction.

Any further advice on how to dodge these bonus-chasing a55hol3s?

Railway car parks have their own regulations.

These are wide and comprehensive.

Unlike local authority tickets, there is usually little you can do to refute them.

Search this forum with the word "railway" and you should get some useful information.

The above may apply but only if governed by bylaws.

By "regulations" I meant any sort of statute - meaning bylaws and the conditions of carriage that stem from them, together with the "rules" that "authorised" agents can construct without reference to parliament.

As posters in other threads are finding, it is very difficult to do other than pay the extortionate penalties for even the most minor infringement when on railway premises.
