Hi there everyone, happy bloody new year. And what better way to start it then with a penalty charge of £60
What happened was this: we were driving from Kent to north london on xmas day at about 7pm. Neither me nor the missus know our way through central london very well, so we got a bit lost. At Russell Square, bearing in mind it was dark by then, we missed a turning and came to the square itself. Straight ahead was two lanes of oncoming traffic and what appeared to be a single line for us to drive down. Once we got onto this single lane it became clear that it was in fact a bus lane. There was nothing else for us to do but carry on to the end - at the end we managed to rejoin the correct lane.
Obviously there were cameras and we have now been fined, but it was a genuine mistake.
Anyone know whether we'll be able to get off this? Is it even worth appealing? Any advise would be much appreciated!
