Default Red Route PCN for stopping in loading bay

I recently recieved the following PCN through the post from TFL (taliban for London)

http://img37.picoodle.com/img/img37/...Nm_1d36248.jpg

with the following images from their CCTV
http://img37.picoodle.com/img/img37/...1m_42d20c5.jpg
http://img37.picoodle.com/img/img37/...2m_a719271.jpg

On going back to the location to check out the signs and the road markings here is what I found

http://img36.picoodle.com/img/img36/...gm_b6b39fe.jpg
http://img36.picoodle.com/img/img36/...om_83dcb5a.jpg

Basically I stopped in a red route stopping place for loading to load a burger from McDonalds, I was literally there less than 5mins, and the sign clearly says 20 mins max. Also the contravention code given was 46 stopping where prohibited, which I thought was for actually stopping on a double red line, not in a marked stopping place.

Can anyone tell me whether it is worth fighting this one, or whether I have been caught fair and sqaure.

*eyebrow* You are actually prepared to state as a defence that you were 'load(ing) a burger'?

Hi there

Hmmm, like demon i have to raise an eyebrow to your defence

however, the bay in which you parked, does it state loading bay on the ground ? im wondering if you were actually parked in a loading bay ? maybe that is what the ticket is for
also what is the charge? i cant see anything on the PCN which says how much you need to pay? are you supposed to guess and just pay them what you think is right

regards
paul

Paul,

The picture of the ticket has been cropped.

I didn't look at the pictures before because I deemed your post too ridiculous to bother. I still think it's ridiculous. What precisely are you providing the photographs of the location for? Proof that you were in a loading bay? Nipping to McDonald's does not constitute loading and I believe that you are quite aware of that.

Buying a burger and getting back into the car is not "loading".

Pay it before it goes up.

Or post full details of the PCN/NtO to enable people here to ensure that it conforms

The sign says 'stopping prohibited unless loading', you was not loading so you was stopped where prohibited!
