There is no uniformity in rulings at different courts.
This serious discrepency shows apprehension of floodgates, giving sound justice to the public while defending power centres, and aspects of venal conduct among some judgements.

Parking bay review for 100 streets in borough
PARKING bays in more than 1,000 streets will be reviewed by Bolton Council over the next six months.
But the council's executive committee has been told that the parking regime was not illegal.
A report to councillors yesterday conceded that most bay markings did not comply with the Traffic Sign Regulations from the Department for Transport, highlighting problems including the bay lengths and dimensions of white line markings. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/boltonnews/display.var.1861541.0.par king_bay_review_for_100_s treets_in_borough.php

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Restitution. PCNs County Court orders restitution of £2500 hi guys 'n gals out there !
i am going to be the proud recipient of 26 pcn 's , is this some sort of record ?
these were given at 5.45 am ( this mob get up early !) approx every day consequetively for 26 days , in the exact same location by a mobile cctv gps smartcar , doing its rounds trawling for business ,victims etc
i feel like i've been mugged ! over £2500 if i delay .
i have parked there for about 4 years on and off with no enforcement or complaints from anyone, now i find that 5 tickets, starting 3-12-07 thro 7 12 07 (but all not posted till the 19 12 07 ), i only see that there is a problem on going back to work on 27 12 07 ,and have no doubt already been issued with tickets in the system from 8 12 07 thro to the 25 12 07 ! they will be falling through the letterbox like confetti in the next few days !
any advice would be much appreciated . |

Unless the vehicle had been moved you may be able to appeal the tickets after the first on the grounds it was one continuous contravention of footway parking since it is a restriction that last 24 hrs a day. |
