Default Car towed without notice on carpark tonight, please help!

Hi,

tonight i went to see Mark Ronson at the Birmingham Acadamy.

We were late and the NCP over the road was closed so we parked in an empty carpark next to it.

anyway, left the car at 8 and retunred at half 8 as my mate was ill.

"the bloody cars gone!"

looked around to see a tiny sign which i hadnt noticed before.

from what i can remember, its 180 squid followed by 40/day for storage.

i called the guy and he told me to ring a number which was closed due to beig out of office hours.

i'm going to call 2moro but is there any way out?

- There was a tiny sign
- i had no warning (clamp/ticket)
- i wasn't gone long
- it was on an empty car park
- will they charge me for 40 pounds for tonight?

please help, im broke enough as it is!

Get photos of the sign and showing it in context with the surroundings.

Who has towed your car? Is it the council or someone else?

Look at the sign and see what charges it lists. As the car was only towed last night ask them for a full breakdown of how they arrive at the figure. They shouldn't be charging you a higher figure than what is listed on the sign. Check to see if they are SIA registered as well.
