Default Can I avoid paying, please help!!

Hi,

My boyfriend got a PCN on 29th March. He put the ticket he bought on the dashboard but it must have blown over when he closed the door, so he got a ticket for not displaying it.

He's received a Notice to Owner and a Charge Certificate.

Is there any way this can be avoided?

Many thanks

Lee

Council or Private parking company? Can you scan and post the ticket here or reproduce exactly what is printed on it (clear any personal details first)?

Have you still got the Pay & Display ticket?

It's from Manchester City Council. I've scanned the ticket but I can't work out how to post it. Do you need both sides?

Yes I've got the Pay & Display ticket here.

Thanks

We don't need to see the P&D ticket, but a scan of each of the PCN, NtO and CC would be good - one of them is almost certain to be invalid.

Why has it been left so long before challenge?

Either way, not displaying a ticket - even if the original ticket can be subsequently found and provided in evidence is - would not be accepted. Heck, wasn't it Manchester who prosecuted many motorist because the ticket was there but upside-down...? (Health and Safety issues for the warden!)
