claiming charges on overdrawn account

when i claimed charges back from the n&p i was overdrawn ,what i did was first of all agree to pay back the money owed monthly and to which i could afford, then had it in writing ,only then did i start reclaiming my charges back

.over 4k returned overdrawn amount cleared and mr presland insisted i close my account

in 30 days would then forward the remainder to me ,bugger that phoned him and said close the account now and i,ll have my cheque now thanx

Have you seen the news item "Alliance and Leicester Bank fined for retaliatory account closure! - Feb 2007" on this sites home page (about 3/4 way down)?

Perhaps you could write to N&P pointing this out and suggest they might like to reconsider.

i had a parachute account ready

,n&p can keep their account if he carry,s on like that they will have few customers left

.i posted hoping to make people aware that the banks will close accounts and to cover themselves

before recovering charges .always be 1 step ahead

Although I presume N&P might gain disgruntled customers from NatWest, HSBC ......
