Not to be confused with 1st National Bank, which is on a different thread.

Data Protection Act request on its way.

Question Re: Bookworm v 1st National Tricity Finance Ltd

Ever seen me confused? This is it.

Got today a cheque from First National tricity Finance for £10. Total message attached to cheque says: "we attach a cheque relating to your account held with GE Capital Bank Ltd" and that's it. No account number, no explanation.

Huh?

Well, obviously, it's to do with cheque I sent THEM. But that's all I undertand.

So, I guess another letter to say thanks, but clock still running... What else can I do?

Bunch of idiots that lot, is all I can say. I remember trying to agree a payment figure on a debt I had with them and the monthly figure they suggested was far more than I could afford. I suggested a sum that was reasonable, and they refused, insisting that I had to pay the amount they set. I told them I couldn't afford it and it would end up not being paid. They still wouldn't budge. In the end I told them to go ahead, but when we ended up in court over the missing payments, I would explain to the judge that they'd refused my offer etc ... They agreed to my suggested figure immediately.

Things got clearer... of sorts.

I got a reply from GE about my Debenhams card (more of that in my Debs thread), and in it, was a list of transactions and charges for the 1st National one. Very basic, but it showed what I needed, and that's good enough for me.

Prelim for £ 80.00 sent today.

Well, that one got put on hold for a long time, I realise dI had over-stretched myself with too many claims, so just got on with another 2, which have just concluded.

SO here we go again. I am however, due to the length of time passed since last communication, sending them a final letter giving them 7 days, just to satisfy myself, really.
