Sent 14 day letter offer last week, got standardised response without even a courteous offer of half! How dare they!?

So, i called them today to outline the resolve with which i will be seeking recovery of my £700+, and still wouldnt budge. Anybody else have any action pending against them?

Having just started an action against Lloyds for current and business acount charges, I am now turning my attention to Barclaycard. I had a rediculous situation in one month where my the bank didnt pay the S/O - (a £25charge from B'card) and then went over my limit (£25 charge) - and then paid late (£25) - £75.00 charges in total. Having looked at the account over a number of years, they owe me £>500 in charges which I fully intent to get back.

I dont see much about B'card so pls keep me up to date with your claim.

Hi Oblong, any further with your claim? We are seeking repayment from Monument as well and it would be good to find out how you are getting on!

Edit:- Sorry, just seen that you have made the application to court. Have you had a date set yet?

Not yet, im waiting for a defence to be filed, i think they have a couple more weeks, will keep you posted, how are you getting along?

Due to post the LBA letter tomorrow! Had nothing back from Monument at all, unlike the others who at least sent a standard blah blah blah letter.

Well, Barclays have done it again, posted a defence on the last day possible, yawn yawn.

We should take bets on who is the first case to be paid out or heard on court.

I am about to tackle Porvidian/Barclays and sending an Subject Access Request just trying to see what they are up to lately - are people getting paid back etc.. ??

	Subject Access Request A Subject Access Request is a demand which you can make to any organisation to disclose any personal information which they hold on you. The right to disclosure of data is provided by the Data Protection Act. There is no time limit. The organisation is obliged to reveal everything they have about you - which you ask for - as far back as you ask for. There are very few exceptions. It does not matter whether the data is held on microfiche, in an archive, on tape, in a cardex system, in sound recordings or in screen notes. Some companies are saying that they do not have to disclose where it would be difficult to do so - "disproportionate effort". This is untrue. Disproportionate effort refers to something else under the Act. If you are seeking bank charges information then you should ask for "all data held on you" and you should make it clear that you want everything as far back as it goes. Do not be put off by excuses. Do not accept being fobbed off. It is not in your bank's interest to make full disclosure to you. This means that it is in your interests to get it. If you have not started gathering your bank charges information yet, then you should start now. There will soon be a big rush once the OFT test case has been settled. Get all of your bank account informtion as far back as possible. At least as far back as 1995. If your bank says that they don't keep data as far back as this, don't accept it. Be persistent. They've got what you need in some form or other.

I sent Monument a first contact letter - got no reply at all. I sent them my LBA and again got no reply. I filed a court claim on Wednesday last week and as yet I am still waiting for the paperwork to come back from the court.

surely they can't ignore papers from the court? That would be silly of them wouldn't it? I hope you get your money back!!!!

I got a rather lenghty letter from someone in customer realations in reply to my Subject Access Request, saying that should I persue them for excess charges, I (basically) would have the account closed. But I justr needed the statements so I could issue a section 78 & 85 default. The'phone calls have stopped but I've just reported them to the OFT and TS last week, before I can scarpe enough money together to take them to court.

I have no idea what they are up to. I really hope they do close my account as well.
