Default Unauthorised o/draft charges

We have a typical Abbey National savings account with no overdraft agreements.
In Oct 07 we went overdrawn by £17.55 and were charged £60.00
In Jul 07 went overdrawn by £4.49 and were charged £50.00
In Aug 06 went overdrawn by £36.86 and were charged £140.00
In Jun 06 went overdrawn by £10.22 and were charged £50.00
In Mar 06 went overdrawn by £26.62 and were charged £80.00

We were told these charges related to Unathorised/instant overdraft fees.

What can I do to get my money back?

Welcome.

First of all I would search for Abbey savings account in the search bar to see what other people have done.

To start the ball rolling and to check whether you have had any other charges on the account, you can send the S.A.R (Data protection) Letter with £10. If you already have your statements I'd send

Hope this helps
