Default Just starting out **WON**

I am a newby here, and just starting out. I have been reading through the forum, and now my 'heads a spinning!! '
I have a few questions, and I would be grateful for any advise available from anyone who can spare the time.
I am going to claim against NatWest.
I have banked with them for over 20years, and always paid charges for an agreed overdraftautolinker.com autolinking image but just lately they have really been slamming on the charges when I go over my overdraft £138 alone for April.
What am I able to claim? is it just my over my overdraft chargesautolinker.com autolinking image, or am I able to claim for monthly bank chargesautolinker.com autolinking image for the agreed overdraft?
Also, Do i send prelim letter along with detailed charges to my local branch?
Many Thanks
Lel

Hi (again!) lel, welcome on board the nat west forum!

This link explains all the charges that you can reclaim from nat west NatWest Charges- A guide.

With regards to the overdraftautolinker.com autolinking image, you can only reclaim the portion of interest that's been applied because of any charges. So if you have an overdraft but no charges in any one month, you can't reclaim the normal overdraft interest - as this is a fee for a service that you agreed to. The overdraft interest is quite difficult to work out, but if you download the correct spreadsheet 6. Interest calculation spreadsheets it can be done.

You need to send your prelim (plus a detailed schedule of charges - e.g., one of the above spreadsheets listing all your charges) to the Borehamwood address in this link **** Natwest Contact Information ****. Make sure you 'hide' the 8% interest column for now though, as this can only be awarded by the courts.

Good luck, hedgey xx

Although late to the conversation, there is another route which proved succesful for me.

I sent a letter claiming ALL the charges to my account, whether i agreed to them or not. NatWest worked all this out for me and sent me a final figure, saving me alot of time doing it myself.

Have think about it, you never know, you may even get the whole lot back if your lucky!

Good luck.

Novel appoach beezlyend - but not very professional! Much better to stick to the tried and tested CAG method................ particularly if the claim ends up being filed at court.

Started out on the bank chargesautolinker.com autolinking image claim against NatWest 29th May, with lots of help and advise from you all, and am pleased to say that had letter today to say we are having all charges claimed refunded to our account.
Amazing, I never thought it would all go so well, and really quite straight forward once I had read up on here and taken on board your advise and experience.
Many many thanks to all of you who continue to share your help and knowledge with others, and the best of luck to all of you who continue to fight for justice!!!
From a very happy

I think you need to write and tell them that you already have the money. If you knowingly allow them to pay it you again I think you commit an offence. They will certainly want it back when they find out.

standard advice is to accept it 'by accident' and then put it somewhere safe and leave it there

yes, taking it knowingly is an offence and there's no point doing it 'by accident' unless you think they might never realise what they've done

good chance I'd say, your call

But it isn't 'by accident' if the person knowingly does this.

Don't be like the banks - follow Steven's advice and don't accept the money twice.

ah but it's not on purpose unless they can prove it, can't be done

if they notice it, they'll ask for it back with conviction so make sure you have it

this is more or less the same as the bank putting money in your account by mistake

We should give the facts - if you knowingly accept the money twice you commit fraud. End of story.
