| | Basic Account Holder | Just starting out **WON** I am a newby here, and just starting out. I have been reading through the forum, and now my 'heads a spinning!! '
I have a few questions, and I would be grateful for any advise available from anyone who can spare the time.
I am going to claim against NatWest.
I have banked with them for over 20years, and always paid charges for an agreed overdraft but just lately they have really been slamming on the charges when I go over my overdraft £138 alone for April.
What am I able to claim? is it just my over my overdraft charges , or am I able to claim for monthly bank charges for the agreed overdraft?
Also, Do i send prelim letter along with detailed charges to my local branch?
Many Thanks

| Re: Just starting out Hi (again!) lel, welcome on board the nat west forum!
This link explains all the charges that you can reclaim from nat west NatWest Charges- A guide.
With regards to the overdraft , you can only reclaim the portion of interest that's been applied because of any charges. So if you have an overdraft but no charges in any one month, you can't reclaim the normal overdraft interest - as this is a fee for a service that you agreed to. The overdraft interest is quite difficult to work out, but if you download the correct spreadsheet 6. Interest calculation spreadsheets it can be done.
You need to send your prelim (plus a detailed schedule of charges - e.g., one of the above spreadsheets listing all your charges) to the Borehamwood address in this link **** Natwest Contact Information ****. Make sure you 'hide' the 8% interest column for now though, as this can only be awarded by the courts.
Good luck, hedgey xx

yes, taking it knowingly is an offence and there's no point doing it 'by accident' unless you think they might never realise what they've done
good chance I'd say, your call | But it isn't 'by accident' if the person knowingly does this.
Don't be like the banks - follow Steven's advice and don't accept the money twice. |

We should give the facts - if you knowingly accept the money twice you commit fraud. End of story. Steven If this post is helpful, please click the scales Any opinions are without prejudice & without liability. Almost everything I know concerning the law I learned from this site
