Default £1060 in charges since April 13th

I have been charged £1060 in charges since the 13th Apr - even though one of my accounts was in credit. Nat West are trying to say that even though I use internet banking i should transfer money between accounts during banking hours. I thought that the whole idea of internet banking was 24/7 access to your account(s). They have recalled direct debits, charged me for every cheque (35 a time) and then charged me for going overdrawn - which i wouldn't have if they had'nt made the charges in the first place and all because I transfered money between accounts via the internet during non banking hours !!!!!!
Its allmost as if they look at my accounts and see how much they can charge me today. I am a single mum with two teenagers and can ill afford to lose this money as am sure no one else could. The bank refunded £250 as a "good will gesture" after they had left me with no money, very "big" of them. All I am trying to do is provide a decent quality of life for me and my kids. I shall follow the instructions to the letter. Good luck to everyone who are trying to reclaim their charges.

Default Face to face meeting

Further to my post last week, my branch has now contacted me to arrange a meeting / review. I am going armed with terms and conditions off website re internet banking. I will see what they have to say before I begin sending my letters to re-claim my charges.

Has anyone had any success with Nat West?

Hi Chrissie. I've put your posts together. Try to stick to one thread so you can build a complete picture. It helps us give you better advice.

There are a lot of refunds already given by NatWest - mine for one - Vampiress v Natwest, although it was only small. If you have had any other charges in the 6 years prior to today you can claim them too.

Good luck with your meeting. You're doing the right thing. Let us know how it goes.
