| | Basic Account Customer | what the bank manager said, but shouldn't of... ok, i'm currently banking with hsbc and have just filed a claim, worried that they would close my account i went a shopping for a new account. In i popped into my local NatWest and had a very friendly chat with the manager, a Mr Lay. Asking him abou charges etc and the silly fool quite openly told me ( i think he thought i was a bit thick) that NatWest are a profit making bank that places the charges as adeterrent and does rely on customers being charged excessivly to pay the shareholders!!! I did explain that i'm in the process of a claim against hsbc because of these ridiculous charges but he just kept going on about this. I then thanked him for shooting his own foot, explained that i didn't want to open as account with his bank and promtley left. I hope this piece of info can help any of you guys as you go into battle... |

I think we should get some BAG Badges made up, and when we go into banks to ask for Data Protection Act's, Statements, Open New Accounts etc...we wear them
Better yet, get some BAG Thank You cards made up and when we get our money we send one to the bank
There must be someone here with Graphic Design experience. Make a card. Stick it up here on this site, and we can just print it off as we need it and post it off to the Banks |

BAG is not the friggin caravan club, or the VW owner's club.
I wouldn't wear any badge except a Blue Peter.
Tho, actually, upon reflection, it might enable us to identify each other better in the Frozen food aisle of Waitrose...
hmmm...? |
