| | Basic Account Customer | I want my money NatWest!!!! HI all
thanks for this great site, i will be donating once i get my money back
Well here is my story
I came across this lovely site about 3 months ago and only recently finished reading a lot of the threads.
I wrote NatWest requesting they forward me my statements dating back 6 years. I received these and to my horror they sent mine along with someone elses. So i replied in my Prelim letter saying i was shocked and that i had lost faith in the bank if they could make errors such as this.
I calculated that i am owed £1300 from the last 6 years.
Anyway i received their reply just now. They said that they would look into the matter of the other NatWest customers statements. The also said that they would not be refunding any of the charges applied to my account.
I think the letter is pretty standard but i just wanted to know whether at this point other people had been offered partial refunds, as they haven't offered me a penny.
I was just going to send the LBA but i just wanted to make sure . You would think that as i returned 40 pages of statements belonging to someone else they would have at least offered me the price of postage |

| | Basic Account Customer | OK has anyone seen my post? I'll start another one. Miss Money penny wants her money! Sorry not good with PC's
Anyway let me fill you in
so far
1) i have received the statements along with someone elses can you believe it, 40 pages of them
2) sent Prelim letter, stating i am owed £1300 (with spreadsheet of charges). I also enclosed the 40 pages of additional statements and expressed my concern over their unacceptable error.
received response saying they would look into the matter of me receiving someone else statements, but would not be refunding any of my money, blah blah blah
3) sent Letter before action letter (with spreadsheet of charges)
the 14 days are up 15/12/06
I haven't heard anything yet so i will sit and wait
A few questions,
with the LBA letter should i have sent information calculating the interest?
Is my next step to copy this 4. Particulars of claim - N1 - updated version now available
into this? N1 Claims form in .PDF format with form filling
and do i work out the interest?
thank you in advance |

I would suggest you look around the NatWest forum, and Fid one of the Moderators that frequent your forum (Natwest), then send them a PM (private message), as it sounds like your at quite a critical stage, and could do with some guidance.
