Unarranged borowing can i claim

Hi everyone,

i had an account with NatWest and i didnt have an overdraft.

I went into the red an they kept charging me every month £28 and thhis went on for about a year. Am i ok to try and claim these back ? i think the amount total up to £600

is it my fault that i went over my agreed limit ?

Hi can I ask if you had any success with NatWest?
My personal issue was that I had an issue with my pay about 3 months ago and knew that I wouldn't be able to cover all my direct debts, rang around what I considered the lesser important one ie:store cards and asked them not to take payment till a week after normal which they all agreed to. Which was great. However NatWest who I have a current account with and a personal loan refused, but said they would arrange an overdraft for 3 months. Great I thought, but the overdraft was only in place for one month.
I stupidly have misplaces the paperwork sent to me re:overdraft. Yes I'm a prat.
Long story short, I thought that I had £150 more in my account than i did, went over drawn by £48 and have been charged £152 in charges.
Want to claim it back but am afraid that they will close account etc, can they do that? (evenmore so as I have a crap credit history, mis-spent youth and am afraid I wouldn't get another account)
So am hoping to hear that someone got thier money back without to big a fight.

As you'll see when you read through the threads (would recommend you doing so, it does help!) some banks try to stall, others cough up easier. "All the way to the courts"? Yes, if you mean is it likely you'll have to issue a claim, then you are right. In the end you will get your money, though.
Best thing you can do is read the FAQs, the step-by-step-guide and lots of the threads, especially the long ones, so you can see how things went for others.
