Thumbs down Nightmare with the NatWest

Dont even get me started after along process with my branch and head office. I have now put a claim in with the courts. Phew for just over £4000

at the start our branch said we had to pay two lots of £10 cos we had two accounts:o so I paid and then a week later got a request for another £10

apparently they got the letters but no cheques, I wont mention that they were stapled to the letter.

I took one (they had two first time that was all they were getting, someone told me they could only have one) personally into the branch and made the manager sign for receipt of it, she then advised me to cancel the other two cheques. when I said I will incure charges for stopping them of £10 each cheque she said well off the record if its not you that lost them they will waive the fee.

Mr A and L wasnt too pleased when I told him this, but they did do it free after taking the NatWest managers details to pass on.

any way then they supplied statements and charged us 20 lots of five pound for the privalage, I think not, they refunded in full when smoke started billowing out of my ears. This took us overdrawn and they reluctantly agreed to waive that too.

we sent of the letters and eventually got a reply from Higley saying get lost and you aint getting a penny.

etc etc

so lets wait and see
I have moved the accounts ready and can happily say I made last month without an overdraft thanks to all the money saving tips

now onto the A and L

It's all going well, isn't it? Just a matter of time now (and I suppose a few more forms because of NatWest's delaying tactics). Good luck.

They entered a defence saying they dont know what accounts we are referring too I am shocked to say the least, is this normal, we have a letter this morning saying the case has been passed to our local court.

I have a questionnaire to fill out and return. I am doing it later and it will go off today

Keep going if I was you. There is enough success stories on here to show that you should fit it to the end. Remember they are in the wrong so make sure you get all the money back that you deserve.

Everything you are getting is the same as everyone else. don't accept anything less than 100% of your money back and refuse to sign any confidentiality clause.

i don't think they are going to take any notice to what i relied to them unless i accepted their offer. the worse thing would be pushing their luck further to the court hearing. see the thread... title can't remember probably but there is 'full sory' at the end of the title.
