Default Before i start.........

I now have all the statements to wade through to get the amount i am going to claim for.
I just need to confirm what i CAN claim for. Is it the charges that relate to so called bank administration fees, refferal fees for DD's unautorised overdraft limits, or is there any others i should take into account?
I have read the FAQ's but i want to be sure
thanks in advance

hiya

I'm in middle of doing similar things, although my Data Protection Act letter was sent 50 days ago and am now claiming for everything (haven't heard anything back, but have all statements anyway so can put a claim in regardless).

In my understanding, if it's your personal account and not a business account, you can claim for referral charges, charges for refusing to pay anything (whether it be DD's, SO's or Cheque's) + all the interest charged on your account at any time int the past you've been overdrawn. Reason being, that it could be said an overdraft occuring after charges have been illegally taken out of your account, is is the reason you have an overdraft at all. Therefore you should also calculate the monthly interest charges and add that to your list. I'm not an expert, but it's what Ive been led to believe (having studied this site and other people's claims and processes). If I'm wrong about this point, I'm sure someone will put in another post to let you know exactly how it differs from that (and if they do will you let me know please?).

Good luck and hope things go well. P.S. How much are you claiming for?

hiya both,

i am doing the exact same thing, since 2001 the bank have taken over 1,000 in charges from my account and our joint account, and i cant find half the statements.

do you think i should send away for them ot just put in for the claim of the ones i can find?

also quick question in your original claim letter do you have to include a list of the dates and amounts you are claiming for?

thanks guys
