Default me vs the world

Hi just thought i would say hello to everyone. I have been lurking on here for a couple of weeks and have finally plucked up the courage to start my proceedings.

I have sent off the letter with my £10 to Virgin Credit Card, Nationwide Building Society, Nationwide C/C and Barclays Current Account.

I also about 2 years ago had an egg card which i closed so when i get the acc details they too will receive a request for info.

This site has given me the confidence to start this and for that i would like to thank everyone.

I will keep you posted.

Yes you will do as they are all separate institutions - if they get to that stage that is.

They will no doubt close your Nationwide current account though and maybe your credit card. I have / had both but they didn't close my CC as I didn't have any charges to reclaim. May be worth setting up another CC if you have a balance on there you can't repay.

Barclays have got back to me with my statements and I am going to send the prelim letter. I was looking on the step by step process and it mentions sending a spreadsheet detailing the charges. my question is is there a link to a spreadsheet i should use or do i make my own spreadsheet

Hi,

I am at the same stage of the process as you. I believe that the defendant has 28 days from the date the claim was served on them to file a defence. If they don't you can file for a judgement. If they do file a defence then the court will send you a questionnaire to fill in.

I think that's right, if not, please can someone correct me.

Good luck!!!

Kelly
