Now Council tax could be refunded as properties were placed in the wrong band. I wonder if they charged for a full inspection? I'll find out in Court when they give me their explanation.
Also, I had 9 valuations.
To date, they have refused to give me full copies of the valuations and have blanked out the people who performed them.
You are entitled to this information although they will claim that as you were not a party to the contract, you are not entitled to the information. If you are expected to foot the bill, you are OBVIOUSLY a party to the contract.

| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: Mortgage, CreditAgricole ,BirminghamMidshires, Halifa x, HBOS, CurtisSolicitors All, just found this by Scouser9. It relates to Consumer Credit Act Agreements, but I particularly like: - Please note that I am *only* prepared to communicate with you in writing. Should it be your intention to arrange a "doorstep call", please remember that there is only an implied license under English Common Law for certain people to visit me on my property without express permission; the postman and people asking for directions etc (Armstrong v. Sheppard and Short Ltd [1959] 2 Q.B. per Lord Evershed M.R.). Please therefore take note that, I revoke license under English Common Law for you, or your representatives to visit me at my property and if you do so without my permission, you will then be liable to damages for a tort of trespass. You would also be conspiring in a trespass if you sent someone to visit me nevertheless. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...tml#post621930
The whole letter and reply by Cabot is on the link above.
I'm referring to the walk-by's performed by Building Societies and Banks on properties where they have an interest, but you have not given permission for them to visit.
Could this have an effect on Bailiff legislation which has recently received its second hearing I wonder.

Claim is issued. Please be wary when going to Court to issue, they said they needed 14 days for a personal cheque to clear. Walked in with cash the next day, but it still took 10 days to issue as they have a backlog.
The claim was in the post immediately though! This gives the defendant additional time. Probably better going to a smaller court (one less busy).
Awaiting the defence and expect great enlightenment - then public belittlement for those who did this.
You did it to me guys, what did you expect.

I issued some 3.5 weeks ago. After their last minute Acknowledgement of Service, they asked for an extinsion of 14 days due to the complexity and time involved.
This was denied on the grounds that they swapped Solicitors from Curtis to DLA Piper in the eleventh hour, and DLA Piper needed more time to get up to speed!
Cheeky $%$%^^$.
I've kept a few Aces, and am awaiting their defence on Thursday. I'll keep you posted mate.
Should be very interesting.
Hope all's OK in your corner.
