Hi,
Not sure where to start really. I'm trying to work out what i can do to help my dad.
A few years ago, my nana gave/signed the deeds of her flat to my dad. He was going to 'do' the flat up and then sell it as he's a builder.
He found out the flat was worth £120,000. To get the money to 'do' the flat up he got a loan with Cheshire Mortgage Company.
As far as i know hes had about £60,000 in 3 different loans from them. He hasnt been making the repayments since around January this year.
Now he says the flat is only worth £90,000 and as he is very incompetent when it comes to money I said i'd find out some information.
I know if it was up to my dad he would just let the flat get repossessed.
My dad wont contact CMC and said he went to the citizins advice bureau but they couldnt help.
Would it be worth my time trying to stop the flat getting repossessed?
Would the loan company even talk to me?
Any advice is welcome! I know its not a very informative post.
