Using the C.A.B Don't know if the C.A.B. were having an off day yesterday, but am disappointed with their response. My prob is in Dec 05 £3,500 went awol from my mortgage balance, and off my mortgage statements. I did'nt notice at the time due to illness.Barclays have now found the money and put it back onto my mortgage Feb.08. I knew nothing about this until I telephoned them to request an up to date statement, latest one I have is Dec.06. When I asked the customer "service" agent where this money had come from he said it was my arrears!Feeling more then a little tee'd with his reaction, made an appointment to see the C.A.B. All the C.A.B. chap was interested in was the fact that I had not had a payment schedule since 03, tried explaining that it was a tracker mortgage and the repayment schedule is on the annual statement, why I was trying to get an up to date one. His advice was to send them a reg. letter asking for a payment schedule, and then another reg.letter asking about the mistake. This morning I have written to Barclays a firm, but polite letter, listing my grievances and what I would like them to do about them.Feeling a bit wobbly, because back in 04 had to get the financial ombudsman involved in another bit of mortgage miss management by Barclays, and it was a really stressful time. Just hoping that this is going to be the same |
