Mum V Lloyds

Hi

My mum is due in Cardiff on the 21st against Lloyds, however, she has just been to the bank and they have paid £1100 into her bank account, her charges though are £2300 it doesn't make any sense we dont know where they could have got that figure from.

Does anybody know what she has to do now, should she phone Lloyds and ask about the rest of the money? or contact the courts and let them know what has happened? she doesn't know what to do now so if anyone knows or has the same thing happen we would be grateful for any help.

Call them (I presumer she is dealing with SC&M) and tell them to instruct their clients LloydsTSB, that the moneies paid are seen as "partial settlement". Make it clear to them that you will pursue them through Cardiff County Court on Thursday unless all monies are paid prior.

I personally would see this as just a "scare" tactic into believing you'll be going to court. It wouldn't surprise me if the remainder is paid in tomorrow.

I presume you mean 21st December, being this coming Thursday?

Yes sorry Thursday, she has just rang them and the man she spoke to said he was unable to access her file but as soon as he could he would ring her back. She told him that she was accepting as a partial settlement but unless the remainder is paid in by end of day tommorow she would be seeing them in court on Thursday.

I've just looked at your other thread, and it seems that the court date on Thursday isn't the main hearing. Am I corrrect in thinking you will be attending so the judge can give directions?

Or have I read it wrong?
