  1. I had a car on hire purchase some fifteen years ago and I drove it to my new country and it still runs lovely.
  2. I had the same sort of letter from MKPD of Milton Keynes. I don't know who they are but they claim to own the debt - well damn decent good of them for letting me know I still owe them money, I look forward to their next letter next year.
  3. http://businessandlegal.ie/enforcing-uk-debt-in-ireland-debt-collection-in-ireland-for-uk-creditors
  4. How could they go for a EEO as they did not get a CCJ before I left the UK?
  5. I have not paid or had any contact in well over three years now.
  6. Thanks for that . Looks like I'll have more letters soon from a different collection agency, doubt they'll have any success either.
  7. Had a letter from Capital One today, first letter in 3 years. "Statement of Activity", goes on to say "summary of activity on your account in the last 6 months, together with outstanding balance". Then it goes on to say if I have made a payment arrangement no further action need be taken, if I have no payment arrangement please call them on the number below. Not sure why they have decided after 3 years to send a balance of statement for the last six months. Surely they must know that I have not made any "payment arrangement" with them. Don't know what there game is now but they can have more radio silence from me.
  8. Hello, I am in exactly the same situation as you. I just stopped communicating with all credit card companies, debt collection outfits etc. They will huff and puff and threaten to send people on a door step visit etc. Pure bull**** though, they won't do anything at all except threaten. Eventually they stop even the threats. COMPLETE SILENCE AND NO CONTACT WITH ANY OF THEM is what I recommend to you. They will try and intimidate you into replying DON'T REPLY. Good luck and don't worry.
  9. Don't understand why you'd give them a small amount each month for the next year. Call it a day and stop paying them now.
  10. Why sell the one asset you have, to hand over to the greedy banks ? Get yourself over to France, forget about the debt, and don't worry there's not a whole lot they can do except threaten and use bully boy tactics. PS and don't tell them where the place is in France, postbox is the way to go, tell 'em you're homeless at present and using a postbox. Tell them lies only.
  11. Go online and rent a postbox in Australia. Inform the creditors that you are off to Australia to live with relatives. Make sure they reply noting your new address. Been there, done it, got the T-shirt.
  12. You've had excellent advice and guidance on this forum, just accept it and move on with your life.
  13. I am in a similar position to you. My advice is to totally ignore them. You are fire - proof. eventually they'll go away and badger some other poor sod. The main thing is don't worry and let it get you down and spoil your life. Regards, Steve
  14. Please take a deep breath and forget all about any past debts and get on with YOUR LIFE.
